A short narration of scrubs how cheap scrubs has evolved

A short narration of Scrubs – How cheap scrubs has evolved

Certain profession are universally recognisable from their article of clothing – for instance Physicians can be identified from their white coat, surgeons and nurses  by the surgical greens and  the armed forces in their battle fatigues.
While nurses have long worn a uniform it wasn’t till the early ’20 – specifically with the spread of the 1918 ‘Spanish Flu’ – that surgeons started on the road to the surgical scrubs that are now mandatory. It may surprise you to know what the initial foray into masks and gloves were brought about for their own safety and not that of their patients.
The anti septic revolution underwent huge changes in the 1940’s – Science had finally understood the correlation between patient wound infection rates and the adoption of  surgical anti septic techniques. Not only were antiseptic gloves, masks, gowns and drapes used but even the instruments and supplies sterilized
How the colours of scrubs has changed over the years:
Pre 1940 : Nurses were required to wear uniform clothing -usually white but surgeon wore his street clothes and maybe an apron to protect their clothes
1940: in the beginning surgical staff started wearing white uniforms and scrubs to accent and show their cleanliness. However it was found that blood and fluids that would splash across the white clothing greatly alarmed people who came in contact with the operating staff.
In addition it was found that the pervasive use of white in the OT(Operating theater) cause eye strain. A change was in the making…
1950-1960 : Medical apparel designers started experimenting with the coloration of the surgical scrubs. The first surgical scrubs were called surgical greens and subsequently in the late 60’s blue was introduced.-  the popularity of these 2 colours grew, as the blood and fluids splattering were not prominently seen as compared to  the white counterparts and it also solved the eye strain issue.
1970s: The OT (operating theater) uniform has transformed to a short-sleeve V-necked shirt and drawstring pants and mid length dress for women.  A paper mask, latex gloves, surgical gown, and a surgical bouffant style hat make up what is considered the standard medical wear
1980 onward: Surgical scrubs were no longer simply green or blue. Surgical scrubs were available in a multitude colors and textures and by the mid 1980s, surgical scrubs came in an array of designs.
Present:  Surgical Scrubs are mostly light green, light blue or green-blue shade.  Due to rising theft some medical centers have made pink their choice of colour to act as a deterrent.
There is a rise in accessibility of cheap scrubs used for non-surgical purposes.

Want a fresh new look try hair extensions

Want A Fresh New Look? Try Hair Extensions!

With so many styling products and options on the market these days, lots of us are constantly changing our looks. We all want our hair to look stylish and to reflect the latest trends but what are we to do if we want our hair to look longer or thicker? We can all go out and have a hair cut but it is harder to create length instantly. In this fast paced society we don’t want to have to wait for anything, and that includes waiting for our hair to grow. Gone are the days of awkward-looking in between styles and having to endure clips and hair bands to disguise a style that is being grown out. We all know the frustration of waiting for an unwanted fringe to grow out and practically willing it to grow more than a meagre half an inch a month. The advances in hair extension technology means that you have to wait no longer and the best bit is you don’t have to damage your own hair in the process.

Nowadays you can choose from a range of different qualities of hair, application methods and textures. The first thing you should decide is what sort of hair you want to use. You can choose from either synthetic hair or real human hair. Overall, the benefits that real hair offers outweigh those of having synthetic hair but both do have their pros and cons. The main advantage of real hair is that it is easier to look after; you can pretty much treat it like your own hair. This involves washing, drying and styling. Real hair will look and feel so natural that no-one need know that it isn’t your own hair. One of the benefits of human hair is that it dries naturally with a bit of a wave so that it blends in with your own hair. You can also style it however you like! This involves using straightening irons, curling irons and a whole range of different styles. You can even dye it if you want. You do not have this sort of freedom with synthetic hair.

However, if you are looking for a new look on a budget then synthetic hair may be for you. The price is definitely one of the main advantages of using fake hair. Real hair may look and feel more natural but it can be incredibly expensive. Another advantage of using fake hair is that is holds it’s style for a long time. It will stay straight even if subjected to humidity or rain. It is important to take all these things into consideration when choosing your hair extensions, what may be ideal for one person may not be suitable for another so go for what best suits your needs.

Next you can choose from a range of application methods. You can choose from braiding/weaving, wefts, bonding and fusion as a way of applying your extensions. All of these methods have different pros and cons and some are better for your hair than others. All these methods are considered to be permanent in that they last up to 6 months but if you are looking for something more temporary then you may want to opt for clip-in hair extensions. These can be put in and taken out whenever you want and they are easy to use yourself. These are perfect if you want to inject some instant glamour but don’t want to spend a fortune. You can get good quality sets of real hair clip in extensions for around ?50 and they last for a good 6 months providing you take good care of them.

If you fancy changing your look or if you are frustrated at the slow rate at which your hair grows then why not give hair extensions a go! They are the perfect way to get full, thick hair without having to wait. You too can get the hair you’ve always dreamed of with hair extensions. Japanese bonsai tranquility and an important connection with nature

Japanese Bonsai: Tranquility And An Important Connection With Nature

The gardening technique and art form that we acknowledge these days as “bonsai” was shown to have originated in China in the 3rd century during the Chin Dynasty. It was during the T’ang Dynasty, nearly four hundred years later, that the art form first appeared in Japan. The Chinese used a phrase not familiar to the majority of us, pen-t’sai, to describe their art of creating extraordinary miniature landscapes using small trees, water, and rocks. The similarly sounding word “bonsai” in Japanese would mean “planted in a small basin”. Despite originating in China, it is the Japanese who definitely have popularized the bonsai and improved upon the art form.
The popularity of Japanese bonsai is still growing. There are so many unique species and varieties of plants and trees you can use for bonsai. There is great joy in creating a breathtaking and one-of-a-kind bonsai and then to have somebody else enjoy it. Everyone should try to create a bonsai – you can find much to be learned in so doing. Your life will be altered when you experience bonsai.
Japanese bonsai is the marriage of art and horticulture. It is the process of seeking the true essence of trees, rocks, and soil, and reproducing them in miniature, rendering the appearance of a fully developed landscape, accurately and creatively reproduced, and fitting all this into a little pot.
For most bonsai enthusiasts, there does exist considerably more to bonsai than simply growing small trees. It may become a contemplative leisure activity in which an individual may live completely in the present, recognizing and becoming a participant in the wholeness of all things that can’t be separated, man and nature. Man derives from nature and man eventually returns to nature.
From a philosophical view, bonsai can be seen as being a manifestation of the duality of life – man and nature. It’s also a chance to communicate your personal interpretation of your relationship with nature.
The creation of beautiful bonsai will, naturally, necessitate the application of well-honed gardening skills, along with a understanding of plant physiology. A person with patience and a desire can learn the skills and methods demanded of bonsai. If you take the time to learn the gardening skills, and understand how plants grow and just how to care for them, eventually you’ll be able to look upon your work and realize that you have created a real bonsai. It’s a experience you may never forget.

Looking for how to remove tattoos what are your options

Looking For “How To Remove Tattoos”? What Are Your Options?

“How to remove tattoos” can be an even more important decision than getting one.  What are your options and what are the different methods for the best tattoo removal?  Read on!

Getting a tattoo in the first place is a major, and sometimes life-altering decision.  Often those with tattoos later regret that decision for various reasons.  Visible tattoos are frequently frowned upon in the business world and can give someone a prejudicial view of who you are.  That could keep you from getting the job you want and know you could do so well.  Social groups change as we mature and tattoos don’t represent “fitting in” anymore.  As we age, physically, tattoos lose their “luster” and even the most beautiful work begins to fade and alter.  Or, maybe you just want to get rid of an old tat to get a new one.  Remember that guy in the James Bond movie “GoldenEye”, who had a tattoo of his third wife’s name,  “MUFFY” on his butt?  What was he thinking?

Removing a tattoo can be done with out patient surgery by cutting away the tattooed area and leaving a very unappealing scar.  Only the most determined tattoo owner would endure the procedure that had less than perfect results.  Laser removal is still popular but this procedure is also painful and there is the necessity of repeated treatments at the Doctor’s office to totally remove the ink.  The tattoo removal prices for both of these types of procedures are major wallet drainers.  If you’re considering either of these two tattoo removal options, you better think again.

There are several tattoo removal creams out there on the market today but many contain TCA (trichloroacetic acid) which is caustic and can kill normal healthy skin cells.  They don’t call it “acid” for nothing!  And then there’s the Wrecking Balm Tattoo Removal Cream.  Wrecking Balm is a three step, topical cream, tattoo fade-removal system that, over time, very effectively and painlessly fades unwanted body art.  It is also extremely inexpensive compared to laser removal and surgery.  And, even though you have to be patient, the results are genuinely excellent.  What is equally important is that Wrecking Balm does NOT contain TCA.

With Wrecking Balm there are no appointments for removal, no numbing agents or meds, no caustic TCA, and no highly expensive treatments, procedures or surgery.  It’s a win-win situation.  Your tattoo fades away gently and it’s done in 3 minutes every other day with the privacy and convenience of at home tattoo removal.  AND, just as important, Wrecking Balm is FDA approved.  How can you lose?

Wait!  If you have any doubts about trying Wrecking Balm. There’s a risk free home trial. And, if that’s not enough, when you buy 72 applications there’s a 6 month money back guarantee.  You seriously can’t beat that!

As Doc Wilson at Wrecking Balm says, “If you can reach it, you can FADE IT!”
