Forget about the goth girl heavy eyed look. Be daring. Bring out the natural beauty of your eyes with a soft shimmery eye shadow and use eye liner sparingly. Use your mascara to define your lashes but separate the lashes immediately with a clean mascara brush or comb.
Every bride wants their attendants to be looking and feeling their best when their wedding day rolls around. A super popular way brides are ensuring this happens these days is to hold a spa party. The big downside here is that they can be extremely expensive. Consider this – a standard facial and manicure at a salon can run $100 a piece ore more! Not great news for those trying to pull off a wedding on a budget. When you add in the hairstyling, pedicures, massages, and professional make up artists, you are really talking big bucks.
Ever tried double layers of nail polish? This will look best if you start with a distinct color as a base, for example dark red, dark blue or purple. When the base layer is dry, add a more transparent, brighter color with glitter flakes on top of the first layer. It will look really cool and it will also strengthen the base polish and make it last longer. A perfect way to make your nails stand out and catch other people’s eyes even if they’re not very long!

Black is by far the safest color you could wear for any occasion. A black dress is about the most versatile piece of clothing you own. It goes with anything and in many ways, an LBD is like a blank canvas. It can look subtle, paired with a neutral jacket, or ultra-glamorous on its own with chunky earrings, a bag, shoes and a belt studded with jewel toned rhinestones.
The most popular applying makeup games are ‘dressing the doll’ ones especially if you have a very young daughter. These aesthetic games are real fun to engage your young one in; you could even use it as an educational medium teaching her the various colors and shades. Another favorite one among young girls is the ‘Barbie games’ which are a source of endless fun and excitement as all girls are crazy about Barbie dolls during their growing up years.
For Mardi Gras make up some fun games to keep your guests entertained at the party. Since this is the last day before Lent, have everyone write something that can be given up for the period before Easter on a slip of paper and put it into a hat. Then have guests draw from the hat one by one to see what it is that they have to give up for Lent. You may find it necessary to look through the suggestions first to make sure no one wrote anything inappropriate on their slip of paper. Or if your party is for children you can write up some simpler suggestions of things to give up for Lent, like chocolate and chewing gum.
When using face paints on a large area, for example, background colour washing, use a sponge rather than a brush. This will allow you to blend the colour better and will be smoother and more comfortable on the face. Keep the sponge fairly dry and take the paint up to the hairline and just under the chin.
The easiest way to get comfortable face painting is to apply color to the entire face and then add simple accents or sparkles. For example, for a Spiderman party, sponge on an all-over red background, then with a fine brush paint a spider web on the cheek or around one eye. Red works well for a ladybug party too, just add a couple of large black spots on each cheek.
