Popular Wedding Invitation Designs

Whether you are having a big wedding or a small one, the invitations that you choose to send to family and friends can play a major part in constructing the feel of the wedding.  Pastel colors and contemporary designs can help to give the entire wedding a carefree look from the beginning, while classy and elegant designs can help to emphasize tradition.  There are a number of popular wedding invitation designs that can be used to capture the style you want your wedding to encompass.

Formal Invitations

One of the more common wedding invitation styles is that of the “formal” invitation.  These invitations are generally devoid of graphics and use a bare minimum of color, instead using sharp and striking fonts to make an impression on those viewing the invitation.  The invitations bring to mind the structured text of invitations to other formal events, capturing both elegance and importance with the formality of the invitation.  These invitations also tend to make a statement about the formality of the wedding itself, helping guests to prepare for a fully formal ceremony and reception.

Classic Invitations

Similar to formal invitations, “classic” invitations combine striking and sharp text with a classic border of a single color.  Depending on the overall design of the invitation this border may be black to further enhance the text on the invitation or perhaps in a complimentary color in an attempt to soothe the invitation’s formality.

Some classic invitations may reverse their look as well with white text appearing on a black or color background, leaving a white border around the edge of the invitation.  The border appearing on classic invitations may extend to the edges of the invitation or may be ringed again by the background color that fills it.

Floral Print Invitations

A number of different floral print designs are available for wedding invitations in a wide range of colors.  You might choose to have your favorite flower or tree tastefully represented on your invitations in the background, or as a central theme to the design.  Floral prints can appear as lifelike representations of trees or plants, or they can be more abstract.  Some floral print invitations even use a watercolor-like look to achieve a quiet elegance that still conveys the beauty and majesty of the wedding itself.  Depending on the overall look that you wish to achieve with floral prints, you might choose a small print that takes up only a corner or side of the invitation or you may choose for a larger floral picture that fills the background and has the text of the invitation printed on top of it.

Ribbon-Accented Invitations

Not all invitations are comprised solely of paper or card stock.  Some invitations have ribbon incorporated into them, adding an extra flair to catch the eye.  Ribbon-accented invitations often use a wide ribbon with a relatively flat bow tied on it, though smaller and thinner ribbons may be used as well.  Often the ribbon will be in a color that precisely matches other colors that are used in the invitation, though in some cases the ribbon may be complimentary or even contrasting to the colors that are printed on the invitation paper.  Ribbons may be placed across the width of the invitation, or may be positioned so that they follow the spine of a folding invitation instead.

Pattern Print Invitations

Some invitations use a pattern of some sort in their design, often adding a splash of color to offset the formal look of the text.  These patterns can range from animal prints to abstract swirls and everything in between.  Some pattern prints retain elegance by using marble patterns or otherwise classy designs, while others seek to engage the viewer with their tasteful yet dramatic use of color and modern art patterns.

Embossed Invitations

Creating a three dimensional effect, embossed invitations often seek to convey a sense of beauty and importance.  Some embossed invitations use classic designs such as lace to enhance the beauty of the overall invitation, while others use less traditional designs and still manage to create a work of wedding invitation art.  Depending on the design of the invitation, the embossed sections may be a part of the background or they may be the main focus of the wedding invitation design.

Illustrated Invitations

Illustrated wedding invitations feature a drawn picture or a photograph that is not a part of a larger pattern.  The illustration can be anything from castles and angels to a picture of the happy couple.  Many illustrated invitations are designed to bring special attention to the picture that the invitation features, framing it tastefully and helping to make it the center of attention.

If you have pimples then don’t worry you are not the only one, there are so many people around the world all walks of life and all ages that have acne. I myself suffered with acne for 13 years and was ashamed of my face and went through the pain. There are a few ways that you can get rid of zits from home and get rid of them fast. I remember a things that I did to help me.

I started to drink 10 glasses of water a day. Drinking more water helps you filter out and flush your bodies bad toxins. The helps so much when you are trying to clear up your acne infected face.

The next thing that I would suggest would be not to squeeze and pop your acne. Doing this can cause your acne to spread and also cause you to have scaring.  So remember to not squeeze or pop your acne as this can cause long term damage to your face.  The next point of advice for acne is not to stress, life’s not that bad! So many people have acne and just because you do does not mean that you are ugly in anyway never feel bad. It will pass and there are many things that you can do to help you rid your acne. When washing your face you want to make sure to use warm water and to use your finger tips. Try to stay away from wash rags that can damage and irritate your skin and cause you more pain and more acne breakouts.

How to get rid of acne forever with reflexology

How to Get Rid of Acne (Forever) With Reflexology

What is Acne?

Acne, basically is the result of our skin’s sebaceous (oil) glands getting blocked, and is a health condition that, like the common cold, has yet to find the ultimate cure. Sometimes it’s genetic, often it’s not. Acne usually occurs around our teenage years, but sometimes we can suddenly get a breakout in our 30’s or 40’s (stress or hormonal changes). Most over the counter treatments are intended for external, more superficial use, but in order to achieve best, long lasting results acne treatment must be internal.

About The Treatment.

Firstly, I always recommend dietary change and herbal supplements (to stimulate liver and bowel movements) for deep cleansing and detoxifying. Also, drink lots of water to really flush out the system.

Successful acne treatment needs to include balancing hormonal levels, detoxifying the body and boosting immunity.

To be 15 years old and to suffer from acne can be extremely stressful. I’ve added some reflex points to work on that will help your teen cope better emotionally. Often stress can cause further inflammation and thus make matters even worse.

OK, here it is:

The Ultimate Acne Treatment:
• Start each day with a glass (or two) of water with a tablespoon (or two) of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
• Use a herbal formula with dandelion (to cleanse liver), calendula and burdock (to soothe skin inflammation), yellow dock (clears chronic skin problems, encourages bowel movements, promotes liver function).
• Cut down on fatty, sugary foods!

Reflexology Points to Work On (open and print a foot chart here):

For cleansing and detoxifying:
• Neck lymph nodes
• Liver
• Intestines
• Kidneys and bladder
• Lungs

For hormonal and immune boost:
• Pituitary gland (hormonal balancing)
• Thyroid
• Adrenal (good point for anti-stress too)
• Thymus gland

For anti-stress:
• Solar plexus (hold point on both feet simultaneously at the end the treatment)

Wow, that’s a pretty good treatment! Give it (or get it) once or twice a week for at least a month, together with the herbal supplements and you’ll see a huge improvement in no time

Jewelry through the years

Jewelry Through The Years

Jewelry has, in many shapes and forms, been around since the Stone Age. In the ancient cave paintings, items are clearly seen around necks and wrists. These will have been symbolic and not decorative, but they are there nonetheless.
The ancient Egyptians in 3000 BC first created Jewelry as we know it. When Howard Carter and his team first discovered Tutankhamen`s tomb in 1922, the array of gold jewelry that they found was priceless. Pendants, bracelets, rings, armlets, diadems, earrings, head ornaments and collars of pure gold where all found in the land of the Pharaohs.
By the time of the ancient Greeks in 1400 BC, the art of jewelry making had come on an awful long way. The heavy chunkiness that the Egyptians were so fond of had been replaced by very delicate earring and necklaces. Beads shaped into flowers, beetles and shells were manufactured on a large scale. The delicacy of the work is nothing less than miraculous considering the primitive tools they had at their disposal. By 300 BC the Greeks were making multi colored jewelry and using precious stones such as garnets, pearls, amethysts and emeralds.
Jewelry continued to evolve over the centuries and by the 17th Century fake pearls and paste earrings were making an appearance. A lady permanently wore earrings, so the fakes were worn through the day and the diamonds etc were brought in the evening, along with brooches which were worn down the from of the body in descending sizes.
In the earlier part of the 20th century designers such as Coco Chanel were influencing the quality glass jewelry being massed produced by Lalique. Costume jewelry was given the grand title of cocktail jewelry. They encouraged wearers to mix and match between their fakes and their genuine jewelry.
After a lull during World War II due to the rationing of the metal, jewelry production came back big style. The glamorous movie stars of the 40`s and 50`s dazzled everyone with their sparkling gems. The old newsreel films show them at premieres and parties dripping with gold and diamonds. The Oscars ceremony has always been the big event of the year, and the jewelry that the stars wear is as talked about as their hair and clothes.
The jewelry that we wear today has come a long way, but the basic elements are still there. The greatest leap has been in the jewelry specially designed for men. Gone are the days when the only jewelry a man would wear was his wedding or signet ring. They now go out adorned with necklaces, bracelets earrings and various other sparkling accessories.
Costume jewelry for men is heavily influenced by sport. Necklaces made of a leather string are popular with the surfing fraternity, and have found their way into popular culture. They will have something like an imitation sharks tooth attached as a pendant. Likewise, you see young men everywhere wearing leather bracelets.
Whether genuine or fake, jewelry is a big part of our lives. Whenever we get ready for a night out, we know that a necklace or earrings will be the finishing touch to our outfit.
