Fathers Day Gift Buying Ideas
Another Father’s Day gift dilemma? No reason to panic, we have couple ideas that might work and don’t mind a bit if you borrow some of them.
I know LOVE is the one that counts but we still want to find something to show that love and appreciation for the whole year of hard work, sacrificing, coaching help with baseball, softball or any other sport out there, laughs and fun times, hugs and kisses, pats on a back and hand shakes and most of all love and support each of us receives through the year from dads.
First step in gift buying is to establish your budget and compile a list (mentally or on a paper, doesn’t matter) of things person you are buying gift for likes, than go from there. Gift that probably each dad would love is a new flat screen TV, but not always possible on our budget. Beer of the month, cigars, wine club of the month are all great Father’s Day gifts and definitely more affordable than HDTV. Hobbies are always good places to explore: sports, books, music, fishing, list goes on… For our husbands/fathers we can always go with watches, perfumes, cell phones, jewelry (don’t forget personal touch with engraving), Keurig one cup coffee makers are huge hit, concert or sports event tickets are big winners too. If you have an “electronics geek” on your hands please buy him some new gadget available, I am sure he mentioned it “only” million times since it hit the market.
If smaller kids are involved handmade gifts for dad are priceless, card with mentioning some personal dad/kid story would be a huge hit, barbecue outing in the park or just taking dad on kid’s dime to ice cream place would score some major points with dad. If you are already adult, long time ago moved from childhood home, than gift for your dad would be a book, movie ticket or even better, Netflix subscription for a couple months. If you are ready to spend a bit more but still not go overboard, GPS systems are not too expansive and I am sure it would make their driving much easier.
If you just want to do gift card that is fine too, these days you can buy gift cards in any of the stores or better option would be to buy it online and have personal picture/massage on them. And if everything else fails don’t forget, showing up with some beer and having one with dad works all the time.
Happy Father’s Day!
