DIY Footcare For Your Wedding Day
When planning your wedding day your feet are one area of your body you’ll need not neglect. When you think of that special day, you want to envision yourself laughing, smiling, and having an enjoyable time. So that you aren’t screaming out in pain or have an embarrassing night of everyone staring at your toes. Keep this in mind: Beautiful toes on your wedding day don’t start the evening before the wedding. You should begin caring for your feet and toenails several months beforehand. Three to four months prior to is a good timeframe.
Internally. It’s been noted that drinking lots of water and orange juice one per month can help you to have healthier toenails. It’s also a good practice for overall health, so that’s a plus. Vitamin E is also known to produce healthier skin. Foods rich in Vitamin E include: wheat germ, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, almonds, and tomatoes.
Externally. Treat yourself to a luxurious foot bath once per week. Also, don’t forget to give your feet a nice gentle scrub. Make sure your feet aren’t sopping wet. A damp foot allows for better exfoliation. During the first couple of weeks of toe TLC, it’s a good idea to moisturize your feet every single night before bed. Use a nice thick moisturizer and then cover your feet with socks to retain the moisture.
