5 Beautiful poems
(1) I Loved You
I loved you once.
Perhaps that love has yet,
To die down thoroughly within my soul:
Hut let it not dismay you any longer,
I have no wish to cause you any sorrow.
I love you wordlessly,
Without a hope,
By shyness tortured,
Or by jealousy,
I loved you tenderness and candor,
And pray God grants you to be loved that way again.
(2)The Last Rose of Summer
‘Tis The also rose of summer
Left blooming alone:
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone;
No flower of her kindred’
No rosebud is nigh
To reflect back her blushes.
To give sigh Alexander McQueen Shoes for sigh
I’ll not leave thee.
thou lone one
To pine on the stem;
Since the lovely are sleeping
Go sleep thou with them.
Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves o’er the bed
. Where thy mates of the garden
Lie scentless and dead.
So soon may I follow
When friendships decay.
And from lover’s shining circle
The gems” drop away. When true hearts lie withered
And fond” ones are flown,
Oh, who would inhabit
This bleak world alone.
(3)Love’s Philosophy
The fountains mingle with the river.
And the rivers with the ocean:
The winds of heaven mix forever.
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In one another’s being mingle.
Why not I with thine
See the mountains kiss high heaven. And the cheap Manolo Blahnik waves clasp1 one another; No sister (lower would be forgiven. If it disdained1 its brother:
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonheams kiss the sea:
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?
(4)Love
I ne’er1 was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet. Her face it bloomed2 like a sweet flower
And stole my heart way complete.
My face turned pale as deadly pale,
My legs refused to walk away,
And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my sight away.
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight al noonday.
I could not see a single thing
Words from my eyes did start;
They spoke as chords’ do from the slriny
And blood burnt round my heart.
Are flowers the winter’s choice
Is Love’s bed always snow
She seemed to hear tin silent voice
And love’s appeal’ to know.
I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before:
And can return no more.
(5)What is love?
Love is giving.
Love is living.
Love is taking someone’s load,
Love helps them along the road
Love is caring.
Love is sharing.
Love will seek the best for others,
Love treats everyone as brothers.
