Thank Your Genes For That Acne

You are getting ready for your Christmas holiday reunion at a family friend’s house. Your crush is going to be there, so you wanted to make a nice impression. You just bought this smashing red and black ensemble and cool pearl earrings. As you checked your face in the mirror for a last minute retouch on your makeup, you are greeted by an unsightly and unwelcome visitor – a small, but visible red blotch right smack on the top of your shiny forehead.
Acne is always a thorny problem, not only among teenagers, but also for adults as well. For some people, it can just be a passing problem, gone as quickly as it came. For others, it can be a source of pain and humiliation, especially when visible scars are left behind. Try as we might not to judge a book by its cover, the initial but instinctive thing which we always do is to judge someone based on how he or she looks on the outside, and then based on that, we conjure up images that match the stereotype that we have in mind. Because of this human nature, our confidence is affected when we do not have flawless skin. Truth is, women who have great looking skin looks good and pleasing to the eye, regardless of dress size, weight or even facial features.
To prevent the appearance of acne, it is important to be informed about why they do occur. Most often, the activation of sebaceous glands and the increased hormonal levels in the body caused the formation of pimples or acne on the face, neck, arms and back. This can be exacerbated by an unhealthy hygiene such as not washing the face regularly with skin cleanser. Germs and bacteria sometimes accumulate in the skin pores, thereby clogging them and making it difficult to clean out. Another factor is that acne may be genetic, that is, some people are naturally predisposed to have more acne than others, no matter how diligent they are in taking care of the skin. Eating unhealthy and especially oily foods such as chocolates and fats also contribute to the activation of sebaceous glands, thereby causing the formation of pimples and acne.
Acne can be treated in many ways. The most conservative treatment is by using acne light products such as topical ointments or creams which serves to dry out the acne spots and cause them to disappear. Acne light treatments are also an effective mode of minimizing the appearance of acne.
