Approved Acne Treatment For Homes
Perhaps the face is the skin asset which needs more TLC than any other part of the skin organ. The face is the focal point of every one’s attention. It is the most expressive part of ourselves. It is what we cannot hide to the world, but must show every day and every night. Celebrities value their faces, spending millions of dollars on aesthetic surgery in order to hide, delay or change certain aspects which make them “ugly”.
By simply being attractive, celebrities make huge profits, and more so when coupled with talent, skill and the X-factor. That is why the best asset one is born with and should take care of is the face. Unfortunately for some people, the most common problem of the skin is acne. The hormone, androgen, has been identified as the culprit for this. Increased activity of our sweat glands, especially during puberty, causes one to perspire more and the blending of oil and dirt on our skin can cause the pores to clog and form unwanted acne.
Now, a new technology has recently been launched in order to help zap away those unwanted skin blemishes. The blue light device by beauty company, TRIA Beauty, is a home-treatment and acne-treatment apparatus that was granted approval for the first time by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for over-the-counter sales and marketing. Moreover, is has cleared the TRIA Beauty blue phototherapy device for treatment of mild to moderate acne inflammation. Currently, TRIA Beauty also markets the first home treatment hair laser removal device. According to the California-based beauty company, TRIA Beauty’s acne light device is about ten times faster and more effective than the ordinary and standard blue light devices. Multiple case studies have been conducted to show that the blue light therapy can clear the acne when it is administered at least twice a day for two to three minutes. Results of the treatment revealed that it is just as effective as the medically-professional phototherapy, and the usual topical drug treatments.
The discovery of phototherapy as a treatment for acne began with initial observations that exposure to the sun seems to improve acne. It was first thought the ultraviolet rays are effective, but as it turned out, only light waves in the violet spectrum are most beneficial to acne treatment. Being informed about acne facts and all sorts of acne information can empower one to deal with skin problems to make informed decisions.
