Improving Your Appearance

If you’ve been feeling a little frumpy lately then it might be time to spruce up your appearance. An improved appearance can have many benefits beyond improving your self-confidence. It can create more career opportunities, widen your social circle and attract a new mate. This might be shallow, but it’s true. Simple changes can really make a huge difference.

Hair

If you’ve had the same haircut you’ve had since 15, it’s time to go for something new, something edgy. Many people are afraid to do anything new with their hair, limiting them significantly. Ladies, if you’re too afraid to cut it all off, make sure that its healthy, shiny and well trimmed. Gentlemen, stop overusing the gel all ready! And please stop being lazy by getting your hair buzzed really short.

Makeup

This section applies mostly to women, although I have seen a few men that can pull off eyeliner pretty well. Make sure to use the right makeup for your skin. Choosing a darker foundation won’t make you look tanner; it will just give you one of those gross orange lines at your neck. Avoid overdoing it. Makeup is supposed to enhance your beauty not steal from it. A good rule of thumb is to focus your attention one portion of your face. If you want to put on smoky eyeliner and thick mascara then stick to simple nude lips and visa versa.

Body

A person’s body says a lot about their lifestyle and personality. If you have a large body kits it might express to others that you’re lazy or unmotivated. Taking care of yourself is the best way to dramatically improve your appearance. Even losing ten pounds will really make a huge difference. Eating right and exercising will improve everything from your skin to your hair to your sleep patterns.
