Home Pedicures
You need to start out with the right supplies though. Look for home pedicure tubes that heat the water. You also want one that vibrates so you can get a good relaxing feeling while you do it. Some have a grate at the bottom you can rub your feet on to. This is a great way to loosen up dry and dead skin from the bottoms of your feet.
You will want a home pedicure tool kit too. This way you can keep our cuticles moved back and your nails looking great. Some also have locations in them that you can rub in to make your feet feel rejuvenated. There are plenty of salts you can add that will give you a great feeling when you are do. Some of them are to remove stress, others are moisturizers.
You should wash your feet well before you start the pedicure process. It is best to work with the cuticles and to clip the nails before you place your feet in the tub to soak them. Give them at least ten minutes in the water before you start to work on them. Scrub your feet with a good quality foot file. This is going to be important because you need to remove all of the dry skin.
Once you are done place moisturizer on your feet. Dry them off completely with a towel. Some moisturizers are very slippery so you need to be careful. It may be to your benefit to have a clean pair of socks handy. You can choose to paint your toe nails or leave them plain. Put the socks on and then you won’t be at risk of slipping on floors in your home.
Giving yourself a pedicure at home is a great experience. Make sure you have all of the right tools in place. This way you don’t have to worry about starting and then not being able to complete the entire process. You want to keep all of your tools for the pedicure process clean and sanitary as well.
