Garlic For Acne?
Garlic is widely believed to be a highly potent antiviral and antiseptic agent. It contains active sulphur which is enough to make some people consider garlic one of the very best natural antibiotics. While there is no scientific evidence that proves garlic can effectively treat acne, there are some people that swear by it!
The benefits of using garlic for acne break-outs can include reduced redness and size, fast elimination of acne, fewer break-outs, plus its cheap to use!
However, garlic smells STRONG and can be very difficult to apply to the face! Many people refrain from trying garlic for acne simply for this reason. But as its free and eliminates acne in many cases, you might as well try it to see if it works for you.
Here’s how to go about trying it for yourself:
1. Use 2 cloves of fresh, store-bought garlic. Make sure you don’t use the entire bulb, just 2 of the cloves inside!
2. Peel the cloves and crush them up as small as you can get them.
3. If you have a juicer or garlic press, squeeze the juice out of the crushed cloves. Otherwise, just mix the cloves with a half-cup of warm water.
4. Apply the juice to your skin, focusing on problem spots.
5. Leave on for 5 minutes, then wash off. Waiting longer than 5 minutes may cause burns (because the garlic is so strong) so be careful!
Don’t forget, you can EAT garlic too! When consumed, garlic is a natural purifier of the blood stream. The cleaner your bloodstream, the better the oxygen supply to your skin cells, and the less acne you will have!
